Ahmed Mukhtar has began presenting his educational musical program dubbed as “ Speech of Oud “ on Al-Mustaqillah Satellite Channel, which broadcasts it from its studios in London via two satellites“Nilesat” and “Arabsat “ at 18.00 pm GMT every Sutarday also will be repeated same day at 22.40 pm GMT and Sunday 7.05 am GMT.

This program embraces the history of Arabic music and its theories, the Oud instrument and playing methods for all levels and explains for Oud learners the techniques of advanced playing. It talks likewise, about the lives and works of all the pioneers of this instrument playing of some of their works as examples. The program hosts too the most important performers of Oud in the Arab homeland presenting their works in addition to playing pieces composed by Mukhtar himself, winner of the award of the British union of musicians who along with other musicians from different parts of the world, was recently selected for the Middle East area by the UN medical organization, to compose a CD.
