Warren Wills
contemporary Broadway compositions. A celebration of multi-cultural. Warren Wills says " I'm a Jewish Australian living in London and Andalucia, and I' ve had the privilege of working with musicians from Arab and the Middle East countries, and China, as well as on the stages of Broadway, the West End and Europe. Im convinced that music can transcend borders and language and unite people in a celebratory way. Music 's the way to share our uniqueness and cultural diversity with joy, and that's what this concert's all about. "
Ahmed Mukhtar
the celebrated Iraqi musician, was born in Baghdad and has played the Oud and Arabic percussionsince 1979. He studied Oud at the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad, in Damascus and later atthe London College of Music and SOAS where he teaches Oud, percussion and Arabic music theory. Ahmed performs throughout the Middle East and Europe and has written music for plays, films and for Arabic TV. He composed the music for the new Iraqi- European version of Stravinsky's ‘The Soldier's Tale' performed at the Old Vic in 2006. Anthony Cable
studied opera at Newcastle School of Music and at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. He performed widely in Operas in France. His work for the National Theatre includes Loves' Labours Lost and Anything Goes both directed by Trevor Nunn. Anthony has given recitals and concerts in Germany, Russia and Israel and played in many London cabarets. His recent work includes a workshop of the musical Marguerite and a contract with The Sound of Music.
Louise Dearman
trained at Laine Theatre Arts. Her theatre credits include Narrator in Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (UK tour), Jan in Grease (Victoria Palace and UK tour), Kiss Me Kate (Victoria Palace), Lucy Harris in Jekyll And Hyde (UK tour), Mimi in Guys And Dolls (Piccadilly Theatre) and Sarah Brown in Guys And Dolls (UK tour), Cinderella (New Regents Theatre, Stoke), Make Me A Song (New Players Theatre), Eva Peron in Evita (UK tour), Fairy Godmother in Cinderella (New Wimbledon Theatre).
Peter Straker
was born in Jamaica and his West End credits include: Hair (the original production),Tommy (Queen' s Theatre),Blues in the Night (Piccadilly Theatre), The Phantom of the Opera (Theatre Royal and Shaftesbury Avenue), Hot Stuff (Cambridge Theatre), Cassius in Julius Caeser (Bristol Old Vic), and Lucio in Measure for Measure (National Theatre). Film and TV includes: Girl/Boy, Da Silva Da Silva, Dr Who's Destiny of the Daleks, and The Orchid House Recordings include: The Alan Parsons Project, Freddie Mercury's Barcelona with Montserrat Caballe, five solo albums, two of which were produced by Freddie Mercury. He performed Straker Sings Brel, written and directed by Mel Smith (Kings Head Theatre), Peter is currently working on several new solo theatrical projects.
The BIG NOISE CHOIR
This is a multi racial, multi ability, multi religious, multi gender choir that has been established under the auspices of Haringey Shed, the north London inclusive music theatre outreach charity. The participants come from Tottenham and are all from differing backgrounds, several with profound disabilities and a number are members of the Royal Academy of Music.
