Oud builders
Instruments builders who manufacture the Oud are found in almost every Arabian land, especially in big cities; for instance, Mohamed Fadil Al-awad of Baghdad and his sons Earb, Omer and Faiq, Fawzi Manshad in Basra-Iraq, Nazih Ghadban of Beirut, and Nahhat of Damascus all pride themselves in being the best Oud craftsmen in the Arabian world, and indeed, because of the excellent sound of their lutes, most great Oud players buy their instruments from them.
The Iraqi builders, such as Mohamed Fadel , Ali Al-Armani, and Faozi Minshad, are the best Oud builders in the Arabian lands and Middle East. The style of playing this instrument became very advanced because of the great Oud players like Jameel Bashir, Munir Bashir and Ganim Hadad.
