Ahmed Mukhtar has been described as a modern day master in his technique of playing the Oud (Lute). Having spent over 25 years in learning the traditional techniques with some of the greatest Oud and Arabic percussion players in Baghdad
.
In addition to performing on the Oud, Ahmed will join master Arabic percussionists who will be performing on a number of hand drums including the bendir, riqq, mazah, darbukha, kurdish daff and the Khishba (a mesopotamian drum used by nomadic people of Iraq). Prepare to be taken on a journey across the middle east which is guaranteed to have you clapping and swaying as you sample his infectious style and music.
