Ahmed Mukhtar is a master of the Oud and performs all over the world. He has also written music for Arabic TV, and has released two CDs of his own compositions. He teaches Arabic music theory and percussion in London colleges. His music reflects the history, sadness and mysticism of Iraq, and his playing of traditional and modern compositions will take you to the cafes, alleys and minarets of Baghdad.
